What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nuclear Medicine Technologist position at Actalent?
We are seeking a dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. This role involves coordinating and preparing radio-pharmaceuticals, performing nuclear medicine and cardiology imaging studies, and ensuring the highest standards of imaging quality and patient care.
Responsibilities- Coordinate and prepare radio-pharmaceuticals for patient procedures.
- Educate and support patients to promote comfort and cooperation.
- Perform a variety of nuclear medicine and cardiology imaging studies, including image acquisition, processing, and patient monitoring.
- Maintain high standards for imaging quality and patient positioning to ensure accurate diagnostic results.
- Proficiently use PACS systems.
- Maintain inventory and documentation related to radio-pharmaceuticals, including receiving, dispensing, and disposal.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (A.R.R.T.) with advanced certification in Nuclear Medicine or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (N.M.T.C.B.) or be a graduate of an approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology and be registry eligible.
- Basic Life Support Certification
- Experience in radiology, radiologic technology, X-ray, imaging, scanning, and medical fields.
- If registry eligible upon hire, you must become registered within one year of employment and maintain registry while employed.
Work schedule is from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with no on-call requirements.
