Modeling And Simulation Engineer

We are seeking a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Systems Engineer to develop system modeling and simulation solutions across our organization. The role involves performing engineering analysis to provide results that inform strategic decisions for operations. You will focus on the design, development, and integration of modeling and simulation products for the program, tackling a wide array of challenges to develop solutions for all aspects of the current business.

Responsibilities

• Develop system modeling and simulation solutions throughout the organization.
• Perform engineering analysis to provide strategic decision-making results.
• Design, develop, and integrate modeling and simulation products for the program.
• Utilize modeling tools such as Cameo for SysML/UML modeling.
• Develop UseCases, Activity Models, and other SysML models.
• Apply modeling to support system requirements, design, analysis, verification, and validation activities throughout the acquisition life cycle.
• Implement a model-based culture within the digital enterprise environment.
• Deliver large-scale Department of Defense systems engineering projects.

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
• 5 years of experience in Model Based Systems Engineering within a government consulting environment.
• Direct experience with Systems Engineering and SysML/UML modeling.
• Expert level proficiency with system modeling tools.
• In-depth understanding of systems engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices.

• Master's degree in applied science, computing, engineering, mathematics, physics, management information systems, or related discipline.
• Proficiency in systems monitoring, diagnostics, and performance analysis tools.
• Experience with model data support to enable digital thread creation.
• Knowledge or experience supporting Navy SSP Strategic Weapons Systems.
• INCOSE CSEP Certification.
• OCSMP Certification.

The role requires navigating at an expert level with system modeling tools and working independently with minimal supervision. You will work in a digital enterprise environment infrastructure, applying a model-based culture. This position supports a government consulting environment, and candidates must hold a secret clearance.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Rockville, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $75.00/hr.
