Description

Our central laboratory in Indianapolis is dedicated to providing comprehensive testing and bioanalysis services, is looking for a dedicated Medical Laboratory Tech/Scientist (MLT/MLS) to join our team for a long-term career opportunity with our organization to contribute to our mission of delivering quality care.
Responsibilities
- Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
- Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
- Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
- Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem-solving.
- Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls.
- Report accurate and timely test results.
- Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
- Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
- Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
- Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Testing production samples on chemistry and Automated Immunology platforms.
- IVDR remediation support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science or related field
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in a CLIA certified or CAP accredited lab.
- Experience with instrument troubleshooting and calibration.
Additional Nice To Have Skills
- ASCP or AMT certification is preferred.
- Prior validation experience.
- Proficiency with computers and familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- High level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to pass a standardized color vision screen.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
