Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our OBGYN team. This role involves greeting patients warmly, managing patient records accurately, and ensuring examination rooms are well-stocked. You will play a crucial part in scheduling appointments, preparing patient charts, and assisting with daily operations in a supportive healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients in a courteous manner and escort them to examination rooms.
- Accurately document patient information in electronic health records.
- Stock examination rooms and triage areas with necessary medical supplies.
- Inventory and reorder medical supplies as needed.
- Schedule appointments, remind and confirm with patients, and manage the bump list.
- Prepare charts for upcoming appointments, ensuring all referrals and authorizations are in order.
- Create and maintain patient charts, including new patient setup and charge ticket preparation.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the clinic's operations.
Essential Skills
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant credentials.
- At least 1 year of experience in women's health, OB/GYN, or Urology
- Proficiency with electronic medical records, particularly EPIC.
- Strong computer skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Experience in reproductive medicine and fertility is beneficial.
- Outgoing and friendly demeanor.
Work Environment
The position operates Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM. You will work alongside 3-5 providers and other Medical Assistants in handling patient flow, which includes 16 patients in the morning and 15 in the afternoon.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Norfolk, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
