Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our clients team in St. Petersburg, FL. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the Amusement/Theme Park Industry and an equivalent experience in mechanical and/or electrical applications engineering related to amusement ride machinery.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems for amusement park rides.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to understand technical complexities.
• Manage projects efficiently, meeting tight deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Essential Skills

• 3-5 years of experience in the theme park industry with mechanical engineering related to amusement park machinery.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design, steel construction, welding, fasteners, machining, bearings, wheels, and conveyance systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SOLIDWORKS.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of control systems, power distribution, motors, and motor control systems.
• Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, and human factors.
• Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
• Knowledge of MS Project is beneficial.
• Strong expediting and project management skills.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Petersburg, FL.

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $85000.00/hr.
