Job Description

We are seeking an outstanding Mechanical Engineer II with superb technical and analytical capabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing 3D and 2D mechanical designs and conducting related analyses specifically for flight-critical avionics systems. This role requires a foundation in mechanical engineering suited for both prototype and production-level designs.

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D and 2D mechanical designs for flight-critical avionics systems.
• Conduct analyses to ensure designs meet required specifications.
• Design mechanical assemblies utilizing rapid prototype tooling and production tooling.
• Manage projects efficiently to ensure timely completion.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure design integrity and functionality.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in MCAD software for 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
• Experience in designing mechanical assemblies with rapid prototype tooling.
• Experience with production tooling and project management.
• Strong communication and writing skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Dassault 3DExperience Enovia for PLM and Dassault 3DExperience Catia for 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
• Ability to conduct thermal simulation analysis using ANSYS IcePak and/or Siemens Star CCM.
• Proficiency in mechanical stack-up analysis and structural load analysis.
• Familiarity with engineering project management software such as JIRA, Confluence, or other Agile tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering.
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong SolidWorks and AutoCAD design experience.
• Familiar with packaging base materials and systems, and the ability to write and implement packaging SOPs and WIs.

Work Environment

The position operates on a 2nd shift schedule, from 3pm to 11pm, Monday through Friday. The role involves working within an industry-leading robotics team, with a focus on innovation and high-quality engineering solutions.

This is a Contract position based out of Westborough, MA.

The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $47.50/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Westborough,MA.
