Mechanical Designer

We are seeking a Mechanical Designer who can deliver real-world mechanical design in complex industrial environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and delivering electrical design packages in 3D environments using NX and SolidWorks, with a strong focus on execution and constructability.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical design deliverables: One-lines, schematics, wiring diagrams.
• Manage power distribution (MV/LV), grounding, and lighting.
• Create cable tray layouts, routing, and schedules.
• Build designs in NX/SolidWorks: Electrical equipment and component layout, cable routing, cable clamping, and installation detailing.
• Coordinate 3D designs with mechanical and structural systems.
• Collaborate directly with engineers and field teams.
• Support field execution, constructability, and issue resolution.

• 10 years of experience using Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
• Proficient in design, schematic, grounding, lighting, wiring diagram, one line, power distribution, NX, cable tray, cable routing, electrical equipment, layout, and mechanical design.
• Strong background in power distribution and plant electrical systems.
• Hands-on experience with NX and/or SolidWorks, MicroStation, or similar tools.

• Experience with EPC projects in sectors such as Oil & Gas, LNG, Chemical, and Energy.
• Familiarity with tools like AVEVA and Navisworks.
• Ability to work across disciplines and solve real execution problems.

This is a fully remote opportunity, providing the flexibility to work from any location while collaborating with a dynamic team.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Port Orange, FL.

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
