Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Drafter specializing in SolidWorks to join our dynamic team in Westbrook, CT. As a key player in the design and development process, you will utilize your mechanical expertise and CAD proficiency to create detailed schematics and technical drawings that meet industry standards, including GD&T principles.
Responsibilities
- Create fully defined and constrained 3D models from existing 2D drawings and views.
- Produce accurate and well-presented 2D drawings with minimal errors or typos.
- Calculate dimensions and standard allowances following established procedures and specifications.
- Accurately apply GD&T and perform multi-part tolerance stack-ups.
- Follow work instructions and procedures, interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
Essential Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- Education from a trade school in a relevant field.
- Experience in using 3D CAD software.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to proofread documents, mechanical drawings, and Bills of Material.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Trade certificate or associate’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- Experience with PDM is preferred.
- Certified SolidWorks Professional is a plus.
- Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.

The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
