Job Description
As a Design Engineer, you will lead design projects, including new product development and significant ongoing improvements. You will be responsible for performing tolerance stack-up analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), and material selection. Additionally, you will create and review CAD models and drawings using tools like Inventor and SolidWorks.
Responsibilities
- Lead design projects, focusing on new product development and major ongoing improvements.
- Conduct tolerance stack-up analysis, FEA, and material selection.
- Create and review CAD models and drawings using Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
- Manage projects independently, including scheduling, budgeting, and cross-functional coordination.
- Conduct FMEA, THA, and root cause analysis using tools like fishbone diagrams and the 5 Whys.
- Develop and execute test plans based on risk assessments and FMEA inputs.
- Present project updates to leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate closely with finance, quality, and manufacturing engineering teams.
- Prepare technical reports, test documentation, and BOMs for MRP systems.
- Ensure compliance with internal specifications and stage-gate development processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 10 years of engineering experience, demonstrating the ability to work independently and lead projects.
- Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals, CAD modeling, and design validation techniques.
- Experience with FEA, FMEA, THA, and root cause analysis tools.
- Familiarity with stage-gate product development methodology.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to manage projects end-to-end, from concept through production.
- Experience working with cutting-edge tools and methodologies in engineering.
- Strong problem-solving and leadership skills.
This role requires working Monday through Friday for 40-45 hours per week. You will primarily work in a cubicle environment with occasional visits to the R&D lab. The company promotes a collaborative, innovation-driven environment with hybrid flexibility and a culture that values work-life balance.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
