Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description

Design manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for cable harness assemblies and subassemblies. Interpret engineering prints to design processes and collaborate with design engineering to improve production. Provide support to the production floor by working with the operations team and focusing on continuous improvement. Design, procure, and implement tooling to support manufacturing processes, incorporating inspection and test requirements into the production plan as needed. Inspect the performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify efficiency, and investigate and initiate corrective actions for problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality. Provide guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. Ensure processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Design manufacturing processes and production layouts for cable harness assemblies and subassemblies.
• Interpret engineering prints and collaborate with design engineering.
• Support the production floor and focus on continuous improvement.
• Design, procure, and implement tooling to support manufacturing processes.
• Incorporate inspection and test requirements into production plans.
• Inspect machinery, equipment, and tools to verify efficiency.
• Investigate and initiate corrective actions for quality issues.
• Provide guidance to engineering on design concepts and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and specifications.

Essential Skills

• 4 years of experience with a BS degree in a relevant field.
• 2 years of general assembly experience.
• 1 year of experience with AutoCAD.
• 1 year of blueprint reading skills.
• 1 year of cable harness skills.
• 1 year of wire harness print reading.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of IPC-WHMA-A-620 standards is beneficial but not required.

Work Environment

This position is fully onsite with a 4/10 schedule. The role operates on the 2nd shift, running from 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM

This is a Contract position based out of Oldsmar, FL.

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $43.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Oldsmar,FL.
