Maintenance Planner
Job Description
The Maintenance Planner is accountable to the Planning Team Leader and is crucial for effective outage and routine maintenance planning. The role involves creating daily, detailed work plans, scheduling work activities, and providing coordination during unit outages. The planner supports operations and maintenance crews by planning, estimating, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities on plant equipment. Additionally, this position may serve as a System Owner or support System Owners as needed and provide backup to other planners and Contract Support Specialists.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage detailed work plans and schedules for maintenance activities.
- Coordinate maintenance activities during unit outages.
- Provide planning, estimating, and scheduling support to operations and maintenance crews.
- Serve as or support System Owners as required.
- Backup other planners and Contract Support Specialists as workloads dictate.
- Coordinate and interface with vendors and contractors to represent the best interests of the organization.
Essential Skills
- Extensive experience in plant maintenance and operations activities.
- Proficiency in maintenance planning software.
- Strong organizational, administrative, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge and experience with personal computers and various software applications for work order management and planning/scheduling.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively in diverse teams.
- Self-motivation and demonstrated initiative.
- Knowledge of contract administration.
- Understanding of financial fundamentals and budget management.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Smyrna, GA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
