Mid‑Level Landscape Architect / Landscape Designer

This is an opportunity to step into a design‑forward landscape role where your work doesn’t stop at concept. You’ll help shape projects from early ideas through construction documentation, working closely with a collaborative studio team on a diverse mix of public and private work.

If you’re beyond entry‑level, enjoy design and understand how ideas get built — this role gives you room to grow without being thrown in the deep end on day one.

What You’ll Do

• Create conceptual designs, graphics, and visual studies
• Develop construction documents (plans, details, redlines) using AutoCAD
• Stay involved across multiple project phases, from concept to CDs
• Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, and other consultants
• Participate in client communication as your experience allows
• Contribute to design narratives and proposals
• Work closely with a small, collaborative landscape team

The Work

Projects span a wide range of scales and environments, including:

• Public and civic spaces (streetscapes, transit‑adjacent, infrastructure)
• Institutional and educational projects
• Select private and design‑intensive work

You’ll move between large, complex sites and smaller, detail‑driven projects — flexibility matters.

What We’re Looking For

This role is best suited for someone who:

• Has 3–7 years of professional experience in landscape architecture or design
• Is design‑strong, but comfortable producing CDs
• Can take ownership, ask questions, and keep work moving
• Wants to grow into greater responsibility over time
• Values collaboration, clarity, and follow‑through

Required Skills

• AutoCAD (real construction documentation experience — not just exposure)
• Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
• Strong design fundamentals
• Experience contributing to construction documentation
• A portfolio that clearly shows your personal contribution and built or detailed work

A portfolio is required for consideration. Resumes without portfolios will not advance.

Nice‑to‑Have

• Rhino, Lumion, SketchUp, or other visualization tools
• Background in high‑end residential, hospitality, civic, or urban projects
• Experience coordinating with consultants
• Strong writing or narrative skills for proposals

Revit may be used on some projects, but it is not required and not a disqualifier.

This is a Permanent position based out of Los Angeles, CA.

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $48.00/hr.
