Job Title: Electrical Project Manager
Job Description
Join a dynamic team working on a large semiconductor project in Boise, Idaho. This phased project is set to continue through 2027, focusing on cleanroom building envelopes and telecommunications. As an Electrical Project Manager, you will operate under a Sell/Estimate/Manage model, requiring autonomy and adaptability to manage change effectively.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the electrical scope within the cleanroom building envelope, including FFUs, lighting, and safety showers.
- Manage the newly expanded scope following the removal of the telecom contractor.
- Ensure timely completion of significant scope by August, with remaining work targeted for the end of the year.
- Function as a hands-on team member, stepping in quickly to address challenges and manage through change.
- Lead project planning, schedule execution, job cost tracking, and job closure, maintaining full budget responsibility.
- Write detailed scope proposals and manage change orders, RFIs, and submittals effectively.
- Foster successful relationships and maintain a long-term mindset, ideally committing to an 8-10 year tenure.
Essential Skills
- 3 years of experience running electrical construction projects between $10M-$50M in scope.
- Direct electrical construction experience, preferably with telecom or cleanroom building envelope projects.
- Proven ability to write scope proposals and manage estimating processes.
- Autonomous work capability and strong problem-solving skills.
- Superior knowledge of electrical codes and construction methods.
- Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and write contracts.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and estimating software (ConEst a plus).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 5 years of construction project experience in the regional market with a proven record of successful relationships and marketing skills.
- Prior experience with design/build projects is preferred.
- Experience with P6 software is advantageous.
- Data center experience is a plus.
- Willingness to work in Boise for 12–24 months with potential relocation.
Work Environment
The project team is spread across Boise, Portland, Hermiston, and Reno, with sr leadership based in New Mexico. The team values self-starters who communicate proactively and bring solutions to the table. The work environment is dynamic, requiring hands-on involvement rather than heavy delegation. Candidates should be prepared for a fast-paced setting with a compressed timeline due to contractor turnover and scope growth.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Boise, ID.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $75.00/hr.
