Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Party Chief to join our team and perform a variety of tasks associated with land surveying. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment where you will manage multiple projects including boundary, ALTA, topographic, right-of-way acquisition, transmission line, gas pipeline, transportation, and construction surveys. The position requires the use of the latest equipment and surveying technology.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and collect all field data for surveys.
• Operate total station, level, RTK GPS Receiver, and data collectors in the performance of field surveys and provide training on the same.
• Perform Construction Stakeout.
• Conduct Gas Pipeline Surveying.
• Execute Powerline Surveying.
• Perform Topographic Surveys.
• Carry out Boundary Surveys & ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys.
• Conduct Deed Research when needed.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 10 years of survey experience as a survey party chief.
• Proficiency in land surveying, including ALTA, Mapping, GPS, and Total Station equipment.
• Ability to work primarily in a field environment both independently and in group settings.
• Capability to physically work outdoors in all weather conditions, with the ability to stoop, crawl, bend, squat, and lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods on varied surfaces.
• Strong adherence to policies and procedures to ensure all work is done accurately and efficiently.
• Quality Assurance/Quality Control of fieldwork.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in boundary and ALTA surveying.
• Ability to teach the operation of total station equipment.
• Experience with deed research.

Work Environment

The role is based in our NC office, with minimal travel required, ensuring you are home every night. The work environment is supportive, with a focus on ease of leadership and management. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wilmington, North Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $38.00/hr.
