Clinical Laboratory Supervisor - Lake Mary, FL
Job Description
We are seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to manage the day-to-day operations of designated laboratory areas. The role involves ensuring timely completion of tasks, maintaining high standards of quality and service, and effectively operating laboratory equipment. The successful candidate will oversee laboratory personnel, manage the procurement of supplies, troubleshoot non-conformances, and ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards, as well as the laboratory's Quality Management System (QMS). This position provides high-level support to leadership and extends supervisory coverage during daytime or swing shifts from Tuesday to Saturday. Candidates must be flexible to accommodate evolving business needs.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of designated laboratory areas.
- Ensure timely task completion and uphold high standards of quality and service.
- Oversee the operation of all laboratory equipment and personnel.
- Manage the procurement of laboratory supplies.
- Troubleshoot non-conformances and ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
- Maintain the laboratory’s Quality Management System (QMS).
- Provide high-level support to leadership.
- Extend supervisory coverage during daytime or swing shifts.
Essential Skills
- Active ASCP Certification and FL Clinical Laboratory Technologist license.
- Experience as a lead technologist or supervisor in a high-complexity CLIA environment.
- At least 5 years of experience in a CLIA laboratory.
- Bachelor’s degree in a physical, chemical, or biological science.
- Patient-first, mission-oriented mindset.

Work Environment
The work environment involves managing a team of medical laboratory staff. The swing shift starts between 10 am-noon and ends between 10 pm-midnight. Flexibility with shift times is required. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $79000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
