Laboratory Intern
Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate to gain hands-on experience in a chemical manufacturing plant environment. As a Laboratory Intern, you will perform laboratory analysis, support continuous improvement activities, and assist in equipment troubleshooting and repair, all under the guidance of a laboratory manager.
Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory analysis as directed by the laboratory manager.
- Review, edit, and develop quality assurance documents and work instructions.
- Assist the laboratory manager and technicians with equipment troubleshooting and repair.
- Support laboratory projects and continuous improvement activities.
- Calibrate and maintain ICP-MS, ICP-OES, AA, GC, TOC, and other laboratory instrumentation.
- Perform SAP transactions related to raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
- Place orders for laboratory chemicals and supplies.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in laboratory testing and chemical analysis.
- Ability to calibrate and maintain lab instrumentation.
- Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols.
- Knowledge of SAP or willingness to learn.
- Attention to detail in lab analysis and documentation.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Understanding of safe handling of lab chemicals and materials.
- Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation and procedures is a plus.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
