Job Title: Temporary Lab Assistant - Hematology Department
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Temporary Lab Assistant to join the hematology department. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in a large reference laboratory.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the hematology department, primarily working on the track.
- Handle data entry and processing tasks with accuracy.
- Prepare and accession samples as required.
- Manage a high volume workload and prioritize urgent tasks effectively.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in laboratory work and data entry.
- Experience in a hospital or academic lab setting.
- Ability to work comfortably on your feet throughout the night shift.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Prior laboratory experience is highly desirable.
- Experience in a high-volume work environment is beneficial.
Work Environment
This is an overnight position with shifts from Tuesday to Friday, 8pm to 4:30am, and Saturday from 12am to 8:30am. The role requires being on your feet all night.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.06 - $20.06/hr.
