Lab Technician

Join a dynamic team in the food and flavor industry as a Lab Technician, where you will create and test flavor formulations on a bench scale. This role involves developing and compounding flavors according to specific recipes and customer requirements, ensuring the highest quality and consistency.

• Develop and compound flavors based on specific recipes and customer requirements, ensuring precise pipetting of no more than a kilo.
• Weigh and mix raw materials, including chemicals and essential oils, to create flavor batches.
• Conduct sensory evaluations and stability tests to ensure flavor quality and consistency.
• Maintain detailed records of formulations, processes, and test results.
• Operate and maintain lab equipment used in flavor compounding.
• Collaborate closely with R&D teams to develop new flavors and improve existing ones.

• Proficiency in pipetting and laboratory techniques.
• Experience in sample preparation and management.
• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or Chemical Engineering.
• 2 years of experience in small-scale bench-top compounding in the food, flavor, or fragrance industry.
• 2 years of pipetting experience.

• Ability to work overtime if needed.

Work in a lab environment, primarily at the bench top. Collaborate directly with two R&D technicians. The role is within a leading flavor developer for major retailers.

This is a Contract position based out of Plainsboro, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Plainsboro,NJ.
