Laboratory Technician (Entry-Level)

Work Environment: BSL‑2 laboratory (non‑GMP)

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented entry‑level Laboratory Technician to support daily laboratory operations. This role is ideal for candidates with foundational lab experience who are eager to learn and grow in a hands-on, fast‑paced research environment. Training will be provided for systems and processes as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform basic laboratory tasks including sample preparation, pipetting, centrifugation, and aliquoting
• Handle and track biological samples accurately following established protocols
• Apply aseptic technique and general laboratory best practices during all bench work
• Enter and track sample data accurately in LIMS (training provided)
• Work safely and effectively in a BSL‑2 laboratory environment

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (required)
• Familiarity with basic lab techniques such as pipetting, aliquoting, and sample handling
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
• Reliable, organized, and eager to learn new techniques
• Comfortable working hands-on in a fast-paced laboratory setting

Preferred Qualifications

• 1–3 years of laboratory technician experience preferred, but motivated early‑career or “green” candidates are encouraged to apply
• Exposure to aseptic technique and lab safety practices
• Coachable mindset with a strong work ethic and willingness to contribute as part of a team

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Norton, MA.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
