Actalent is hiring for a Jr Laboratory Technician in the New Orleans area!
Job Description
In this role, the individual will be responsible for operating a Gas Chromatograph/Mass Spectrometer and LC-MS/MS for confirmatory testing. The testing must be in accordance with the SAMHSA mandatory guidelines and those of other regulatory organizations for all non-negative test results. The position also requires the performance of some quality control duties.
Responsibilities
- Operate a Gas Chromatograph/Mass Spectrometer and LC-MS/MS for confirmatory testing.
- Ensure testing complies with SAMHSA mandatory guidelines and other regulatory requirements.
- Perform quality control duties as needed.
Essential Skills
- Experience in laboratory operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Training is provided during the 1st shift, Tuesday to Saturday from 6am to 2:30pm until completed.
Work Environment
The position requires working Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday from 10pm to 8:30am. The work involves utilizing advanced laboratory technology and equipment, ensuring a professional environment focused on precision and compliance.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Gretna, LA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
