Job Description
Responsible for preparing client samples for the purpose of analysis.
Responsibilities
- Carry out Sample Preparation procedures in accordance with documented SOPs or recognized standard reference methods.
- Report any deviation from documented procedures to the Sample Preparation Supervisor.
- Inform the Sample Preparation Supervisor of any nonconforming event related to client samples or other departmental operations.
- Inform the Sample Preparation Supervisor of any unsafe conditions within the department.
- Act in a safe and professional manner and wear appropriate attire including the required personal protective equipment.
- Ensure proper functioning of Sample Prep operations by monitoring the performance of the equipment, ensuring adequate inventory of supplies, and practicing good housekeeping.
- Communicate general laboratory issues to the Sample Preparation Supervisor as appropriate.
- Perform other duties as required by management.
- Some lifting is required, up to 50lbs.
Essential Skills
- Experience in Sample Preparation at a commercial laboratory or equivalent experience.
- Ability to perform tedious work reliably with a good track record of attendance.
- Curiosity to learn new things.
- Ability to stand all day for work.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Background from manufacturing/production/trade schools is a plus.
Work Environment
Work hours are from 8am to 4:30pm with a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks. The lab environment is a production setting with approximately 18-19 individuals. Candidates will have opportunities for growth, stepping into a lab technician role after six months, which comes with a pay increase. There is potential for further career advancement within the company, which employs 90,000 people worldwide. The role requires wearing personal protective equipment and involves physical activity, including lifting up to 50 pounds.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Suwanee, Georgia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $17.00/hr.
