Interior Designer / Architectural Designer

We are a growing design firm specializing in industrial, commercial, and manufacturing facility design. Our approach combines creative design thinking with practical execution to deliver efficient, high-quality architecture. We seek a motivated and energetic designer ready to take ownership of interior design projects and play an active role in our creative, collaborative studio. The ideal candidate will assist our architectural team in developing construction drawings while also serving as the lead interior designer for the firm. In this hybrid role, you will contribute to interior and architectural design efforts, help shape our aesthetic direction, and support marketing and community outreach efforts.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and documentation of interior spaces for commercial and industrial projects.
• Collaborate with architects and project managers to develop coordinated Revit models and drawing sets.
• Select and specify interior finishes, furniture, and materials.
• Prepare design presentations, renderings, and mood boards for client meetings.
• Contribute to general architectural design tasks as part of the project team.
• Participate in firm marketing efforts, including social media content creation and local business outreach.
• Support project coordination through all phases, from concept to construction administration.

• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
• 2–3 years of professional experience in an architectural or interior design firm.
• Strong design sense, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and rendering software such as Enscape or Lumion is preferred.
• Outgoing and confident personality with a proactive, positive attitude.

This is an in-office position, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Our studio offers a collaborative and flexible environment, providing exposure to a wide range of commercial and industrial projects. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Birmingham, AL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $36.06/hr.
