Job Description

As an Industrial Engineer Group Lead, you will analyze existing processes and workflows in the distribution center to identify and implement improvements in efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and throughput. You will develop strategies for layout redesigns, workflow adjustments, and resource allocation, conduct time studies, and establish productivity benchmarks. Additionally, you will design labor standards, recommend technology solutions, and integrate warehouse management systems to optimize operations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze processes and workflows in the distribution center.
• Identify efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and throughput improvements.
• Develop strategies for layout redesigns and workflow adjustments.
• Conduct time studies and establish productivity benchmarks.
• Design labor standards and staffing plans aligned with operational demand.
• Recommend and implement technology solutions for automation and accuracy.
• Integrate Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and collaborate with IT.
• Optimize inventory management and storage space utilization.
• Lead Lean Six Sigma projects and facilitate the person events.
• Monitor KPIs and track performance improvements.
• Ensure compliance with safety and ergonomic standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 7 years of experience in distribution center engineering.
• Expertise in process improvement and manufacturing engineering.
• Ability to analyze workflows and identify efficiency improvements.
• Expertise in Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience implementing and integrating Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Proficiency in data analysis, time studies, and KPI tracking.
• Project management skills for leading cross-functional teams.
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and ergonomic standards.
• Designing layouts, optimizing storage, and implementing control strategies.

Work Environment

The role is based in an office setting within the distribution center, with frequent visits to the warehouse floor. It requires 5 days onsite in Whitsett, NC, with occasional travel for training or project implementation. You will work in a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams, utilizing cutting-edge technology and automation tools.

This is a Permanent position based out of Whitsett, NC.

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/yr.

Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or similar degrees 8 years of experience

This is a fully onsite position in Whitsett,NC.

This position is anticipated to close on Dec 25, 2025.
