Job Description

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a Civil or Environmental Engineering graduate with 0-3 years of experience to pursue a professional engineering career in water resources and sustainable water/wastewater infrastructure. As a key building block for the team, the successful candidate will help communities and industries solve challenging infrastructure problems within a team-based culture that fosters learning and growth.

Responsibilities

• Perform assignments using standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out engineering tasks.
• Work under the supervision of a project manager or senior team member.
• Conduct field work, inspections, and prepare engineering reports and permits.
• Engage in construction engineering and perform simple design calculations.
• Coordinate with contractors and review construction drawings and specifications.
• Contact government officials for permits.

Essential Skills

• Civil engineering degree in Civil or Environmental Ecological Engineering.
• 0-3 years of Civil Engineering experience in Water/Wastewater, Transportation, Site Development, Stormwater/Drainage.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Drainage, Civil design, Grading, Stormwater.
• Minimum GPA of 3.2.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Graduate degree.
• Passed FE (Engineering Intern).
• 1 year of Water/Wastewater design engineering experience if GPA is below 3.2.

Work Environment

The office environment is laid-back yet can be deadline-intensive at times, fostering a family feel and strong team atmosphere. Dress is business casual. Standard work hours are 8-5 with flexibility, allowing for varied start and end times and options for compressed work weeks. Engineers may work from Monday to Thursday for 9 hours and Friday for 4 hours.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.58 - $36.54/hr.
