Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Project Manager to lead and manage geotechnical projects from conception to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for daily technical report writing, geotechnical foundation design, underpinning design, excavation design, and leading a team of engineers and designers. The role involves working on projects within the private sector, including contractors and developers, and collaborating with entities such as MTA, Port Authority, and NJ Transit, predominantly in NJ/NY, with some projects in CT and PA.

Responsibilities

• Write daily technical reports for geotechnical analysis.
• Design geotechnical foundations, underpinning, and excavations.
• Lead a team of engineers and designers.
• Conduct vibration and building monitoring.
• Manage projects independently from start to finish.

Essential Skills

• 10 years of Geotechnical Engineering experience in NY/NJ.
• Strong technical background in geotech foundation design, underpinning design, and excavation design.
• 5 years of project management experience in engineering.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Master's Degree is preferred.
• Experience with clients such as Port Authority and MTA.
• Preferred technical knowledge over project management skills.

Work Environment

The position is based on-site with a work schedule of Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. The office features an open concept and is expanding to accommodate new hires. The company offers mentorship opportunities, and project managers will have their own office. The work culture includes occasional team lunches, and employees are provided with a computer. This is a Permanent position based out of East Brunswick, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $150000.00/yr.

2 Weeks PTO 1 Week Sick Pay
8 Holidays
-25% profit distribution to employees
-when perm, 100% coverage for employee insurance & 50% for family members
-$45 dollars towards cell phone every month
-Mileage reimbursement
-After 3 months, 401K with a 3% of your salary match (if the company profits that year, Nejm adds another 2% on top of that).
-Has enough money to last 5 years with no work, so he would not have to have any layoffs.
-Keeps track of OT for the whole year and rewards bonuses based off the amount of OT that is worked at the EOY.
