Job Title: FPGA Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a talented FPGA Engineer to be responsible for FPGA development from concept through to production. This includes architecture definition, design, simulation, and verification, with a focus on developing low-power high-speed interfaces for imaging payloads.
Responsibilities
- Define and develop FPGA architecture and design.
- Perform simulation and verification of designs.
- Develop low-power high-speed interfaces for imaging payloads.
- Conduct system simulation, synthesis, and perform resource and power utilization analysis.
- Execute place and route, timing analysis, verification, and integration.
- Debug and integrate hardware using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and multimeters.
Essential Skills
- Expertise in FPGA development using VHDL or Verilog.
- 10 years of experience in Digital Design and FPGA development.
- Experience with space flight hardware and image processing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with space flight hardware is highly desirable.
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance; having an active clearance is a plus.
Work Environment
You will be supporting and potentially leading the architecture of imaging payloads. The role directly supports programs aimed at developing missile warning, tracking, and defense systems. The work environment involves cutting-edge technology supporting the US Space Force Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture, which includes a constellation of small satellites providing missile warning, secure global communications, positioning, navigation, timing, and tactical data transport and targeting support.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Cypress, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70.00 - $106.00/hr.
