Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Food Safety Coordinator who will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the company’s food safety program to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. This role is integral in monitoring food safety practices, maintaining documentation, and supporting staff in following established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the company’s food safety program and related documentation.
• Monitor daily operations to ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct routine inspections of food handling, storage, sanitation, and facility conditions.
• Maintain records such as necessary logs, cleaning schedules, customer complaints, corrective actions, and supplier documentation.
• Assist with internal audits and prepare documentation for regulatory or third-party inspections.
• Provide basic food safety training and guidance to staff as needed.
• Support implementation of corrective actions when food safety issues are identified.
• Coordinate with management to ensure ongoing maintenance and improvement of the food safety system.

Essential Skills

• HACCP and SQF Certification required
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment required
• Knowledgeable on food safety standards and regulations

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience in food or beverage manufacturing is highly preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with SQF or VRC, audit preparation, and quality assurance
• Familiarity with GSFI, food science, COA, and training documentation

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Camarillo, CA.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
