Job Title: QA Technician
Job Description
The QA Technician is responsible for ensuring quality standards are met on the production floor and in the lab. This position requires a strong voice in quality, overseeing SQF Level 3, GMP, SOPs, Quality Standards, and Organic certification. The role involves both floor and lab duties, including product checks, training staff, and conducting various tests and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Act as the Voice of Quality on the production floor, ensuring compliance with SQF Level 3, GMP, SOPs, Quality Standards, and Organic certification.
- Train production staff on GMPs and oversee product releases.
- Complete batch record information and document according to Quality standards.
- Conduct environmental monitoring, including swabbing, plating, petrifilm, and microbial analysis.
- Perform color and moisture testing, including pH, refractive index, and viscosity.
- Analyze data and send samples to the R&D Team.
Essential Skills
- Knowledge of SQF, GMP, quality control, food quality, and documentation control.
- Experience in quality assurance, HACCP, FDA regulations, batch record review, and food manufacturing.
- Strong personality and communication skills to address quality issues effectively.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- BA/BS in a Scientific Degree or 1 years of manufacturing experience with quality checks.
- Opportunity to gain HACCP and PCQI certifications.
- Ability to lead projects and provide constructive feedback to colleagues.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43680.00 - $45760.00/yr.
