Fire Alarm Designer

We are seeking a dedicated Fire Alarm Designer to lead and manage projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to create and manage design plans, collaborate with various teams, and oversee project budgets and schedules.

• Run projects from start to finish, ensuring all phases are completed successfully.
• Create and manage design plans, coordinating with internal teams and subcontractors.
• Oversee project punch lists, RFIs, submittals, and budgets.
• Manage project schedules, prepare estimates, and ensure timely project completion.
• Collaborate with external team members and vendors to ensure project success.

• Proficiency in Fire Alarm design, AutoCAD, Electrical systems, and Revit.
• Strong understanding of fire alarm and fire protection systems.
• Ability to complete change orders, RFIs, and submittals promptly.
• Familiarity with IBC, NEC, and local codes.
• Experience in managing projects ranging from $500,000 to $10M.
• Proficient in Bluebeam and Primavera software.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction.
• Experience working with an electrical contractor or fire alarm contractor.
• Familiarity with contract drawings, subcontractors, and contract addendums.
• Comprehensive knowledge of design and construction processes.

This role requires working in the office five days a week or on project sites as needed. The environment is dynamic, requiring collaboration and communication with various teams and contractors.

This is a Permanent position based out of Mc Lean, VA.

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
