Extrusion Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Extrusion Specialist to join our research and development team. The ideal candidate will prepare raw materials, operate pilot-scale extrusion, and perform laboratory tests on materials and products. This role is crucial in maintaining and troubleshooting chemical processes while documenting all necessary testing, production, and R&D data.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all raw materials and samples for R&D testing.
• Operate pilot-scale extrusion for R&D scale-up work.
• Perform laboratory tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
• Maintain and troubleshoot chemical processes including routine extrusion, blending, and testing.
• Document all necessary testing, production, and R&D data.

• Strong background in plastic extrusion.
• Experience in R&D work with new materials.
• Intimate knowledge of the plastic extrusion scale-up process.

• Experience with resin and chemical processes.
• Familiarity with R&D and scale-up activities.

The position requires working in the lab and R&D scale-up areas daily. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with start times between 6 to 8 am, totaling 40 to 45 hours per week. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sheboygan, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $33.00/hr.
