Job Description
This is a full-time on-site position for an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist located in Delaware, OH. The role involves ensuring compliance with environmental health and safety regulations and policies in a chemical manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Implement and manage EHS policies and regulations.
- Perform Job Hazard Assessments.
- Coordinate or conduct training sessions.
- Maintain Safety Data Sheet files.
- Manage chemical waste disposal.
- Assist with compliance to dangerous goods shipping regulations (DOT/IATA/IMDG).
Essential Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience implementing and managing general industry EHS programs.
- Experience in chemical manufacturing.
- Experience managing chemical waste disposal.
- Experience with dangerous goods shipping regulations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Certification as an ASP, CSP, or CHMM is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment
The work environment is a chemical manufacturing facility located in Delaware, OH. The role is on-site and requires adherence to safety protocols and regulations. The candidate should be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Delaware, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $36.00 - $43.00/hr.
