Job Description

This is a full-time on-site position for an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist located in Delaware, OH. The role involves ensuring compliance with environmental health and safety regulations and policies in a chemical manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage EHS policies and regulations.
• Perform Job Hazard Assessments.
• Coordinate or conduct training sessions.
• Maintain Safety Data Sheet files.
• Manage chemical waste disposal.
• Assist with compliance to dangerous goods shipping regulations (DOT/IATA/IMDG).

Essential Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience implementing and managing general industry EHS programs.
• Experience in chemical manufacturing.
• Experience managing chemical waste disposal.
• Experience with dangerous goods shipping regulations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Certification as an ASP, CSP, or CHMM is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment

The work environment is a chemical manufacturing facility located in Delaware, OH. The role is on-site and requires adherence to safety protocols and regulations. The candidate should be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Delaware, OH.

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $43.00/hr.
