Job Description: Entry Level Mechanical Engineer
Under the guidance of the Mechanical Engineering Manager and Lead Project Engineers at our facilities in Darien, WI, and Beloit, WI, the Mechanical Engineer II will engage in new product development and implementation. This role requires a high level of technical skill and experience pertinent to mechanical engineering disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Perform complex assignments that demand significant technical competence while planning, organizing, and conducting technical projects related to power generation enclosure systems design.
- Conceive and plan projects aimed at resolving product or process issues, defining, and selecting new concepts and approaches for the design or development of new or improved products, equipment, or processes.
- Consolidate and present results of design reviews for major projects to the engineering group.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers, designers, and technicians.
- Create 3D models, 2D drawings, and bills of materials using the release process.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in design and mechanical engineering.
- Experience with SolidWorks or relevant 3D CAD software.
- Experience in new product development (NPD).
- Experience with Engineering to Order (ETO) business and product engineering.
- Design experience for sheet metal-based products.
- Metal fabrication manufacturing experience.
- Design for Manufacturing (DFM) experience.
- Project management skills.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Creo, and 3D modeling.
- Mechanical design expertise.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- 0-2 years of experience, including internships.
- Proficiency with computer tools such as MS Office and SolidWorks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes including welding, sheet metal forming, and fabrication.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Delavan, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
