Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer to support the design and development of innovative surgical devices. This role involves hands-on prototyping, mechanical testing, CAD modeling, technical drawing creation, fixture design and fabrication, and evaluation of materials, suppliers, and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
- CAD Design: Refine product designs and generate detailed drawings for manufacturing
- Prototype Building & Testing: Build and evaluate prototypes to validate design concepts and performance
- Fixture Design & Fabrication: Design and fabricate custom fixtures to support testing and development activities
- Material & Supplier Evaluation: Assess and select appropriate materials and suppliers for product components
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to drive innovation and ensure design feasibility
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Internship or academic project experience in medical device or product development
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks)
- Familiarity with DFM/DFA principles
- Experience with testing protocols and fixture design
- Strong hands-on prototyping and fabrication skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):
- Exposure to regulatory requirements for medical devices
- Understanding of materials and manufacturing scalability
- Experience working in a startup or fast-paced development environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
