Responsibilities
- Collaborate with chemists, equipment engineers, and process technicians/operators to develop new technologies and sealant products.
- Conduct hands-on research and development, studying chemical/material processes for pressure.
- Develop an understanding of the relationships between chemical structure/process, process/equipment, and process/material performance.
- Support production on the floor and provide customer service in the field.
- Build chemical knowledge with an emphasis on organic/polymer materials.
- Execute material process trials in the lab and convert lab understandings/concepts into production processes in pilot/production.
- Document results and communicate to the team by composing technical reports, processing standard procedures, and product specifications.
- Follow procedures for chemical/material testing and conduct instrumental analysis of products, determining chemical compositions and material properties.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in organic chemistry and polymers.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Material Engineering, or related fields.
- 2 years of experience in organic/polymeric chemical and material handling in laboratory and pilot plant settings, including product formulation, process evaluation, analytical measurement, and property testing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to convert lab concepts into production processes.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
Work Environment
The role is based in a standard office/lab environment attached to the manufacturing area. The team is laid back and friendly, consisting of six other engineers.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
