Job Title: Electrical Engineer

This position is responsible for the electrical design and development engineering for all equipment, including engineering calculations, layouts, and schematic diagrams utilizing our Computer Assisted Design (CAD) system along with PLC & HMI code. The role also involves providing customer technical support and manufacturing support for sub-contracted and in-house manufactured control systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems for equipment using CAD software.
• Perform engineering calculations, layouts, and create schematic diagrams.
• Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLCs/RS Logix - Allen Bradley or Siemens.
• Utilize HMI software such as FactoryTalk or similar for system controls.
• Control VFDs through HMI and PLCs.
• Provide technical support to customers and manufacturing teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to see projects from inception to completion.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with PLCs/RS Logix - Allen Bradley or Siemens.
• Proficiency in HMI software such as FactoryTalk.
• Experience in controlling VFDs through HMI and PLCs.
• General knowledge of CAD, with preference for AutoCAD Electrical.

• 5 years' experience with Rockwell Rslogix500 and RsLogix5000 platforms and FactoryTalk View.
• Working knowledge of commercial machinery control devices such as proximity switches, solenoid valves, and transducers.
• Understanding of AC & DC motor control systems, primarily with VFDs.

The position is based in an office setting with a total of about 35 employees, including a small team consisting of 1 Mechanical Engineer, 3 Electrical Engineers, 2 Engineering Technicians, and an Engineering Manager. The company has a global presence and collaborates closely with a team in Germany. This role offers hands-on experience and exposure to the full product development life cycle of equipment design and build, with a small company feel and a team-oriented environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Swedesboro, New Jersey.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $54.00/hr.
