What are the responsibilities and job description for the Drafter position at Actalent?
Description
Prepare detailed structural steel shop drawings, erection drawings, and bills of material in accordance with contract documents, specifications, and applicable codes
Interpret architectural and structural design drawings to develop accurate fabrication and erection details
Coordinate with Operations, Project Managers, Engineers, and Fabrication to resolve design conflicts and constructability issues
Incorporate revisions and respond to RFIs, change orders, and field modifications in a timely manner
Ensure drawings comply with company standards, customer requirements, and industry codes (AISC, AWS, etc.)
Support fabrication and erection teams by clarifying details and providing technical assistance as needed
Maintain drawing logs, revision histories, and project documentation
Assist Operations in meeting production schedules by prioritizing detailing tasks and deliverables
Participate in internal reviews to improve detailing accuracy, efficiency, and standardization

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
