Drafter/designer

This role focuses on transforming 2D technical drawings into 3D models using AutoCAD and Inventor. The ideal candidate should be proficient in both 2D drafting and 3D modeling, with a strong background in detailing and technical drawing standards.

Responsibilities

• Interpret 2D CAD drawings, such as mechanical parts, assemblies, and layouts.
• Recreate these designs as accurate 3D models using Inventor.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy and adherence to design intent.
• Create detailed drawings from 3D models for manufacturing or fabrication.
• Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) where needed.
• Produce exploded views, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and assembly instructions.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor
• Strong skills in drafting and detailing
• Familiarity with ERP systems
• Experience with Tekla

• No degree required
• 2 years of experience in 2D and 3D drafting/detailing
• 2 years of experience in AutoCAD and Inventor

The work environment involves the use of advanced CAD software and tools. The role requires attention to detail and a strong understanding of design principles. The work is typically conducted in an office setting with a professional dress code.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Burlington, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
