Distribution Designer (West Virginia)

Designer / Field Tech - Power Distribution

• Location: Ceredo, WV 25507 (hybrid/2 day remote per wk)
• Hours: (M-F) 8a-5p (flexible once training completed)

Job Description:

• Perform detailed design of overhead and/or underground electric distribution systems. This work includes the preparation of field notes, drawings, specifications, and design estimates.
• Visit job site to collect data and stake pole locations.
• Calculate where the poles are, and then design based on that data.
• Working closely with a variety of individuals, including engineers and experienced distribution system designers.
• Identifying broken poles, wires down, damage assessment, and running tickets will be needed during storms at times.

Skills:

• Associate/Bachelor’s degree in electrical, civil, or mechanical engineering or similar discipline (Preferred)
• 0.5-2 years of line design (transmission, distribution, substation). Brown field or green field. (Preferred)
• Knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar programs (Preferred)
• Analytical competence
• Ability to interact with a variety of individuals

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ceredo, WV.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
