Job Title: Dietitian (Pediatric Experience Preferred)

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Dietitian with pediatric experience to join our team in an urgent care or outpatient clinical setting. The ideal candidate will provide nutritional counseling to patients and families, conduct assessments, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to support patient wellness. This role involves managing electronic medical records and contributing to a safe, professional clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients and families, with a focus on pediatric care.
• Conduct nutritional assessments and develop individualized meal plans.
• Collaborate with medical staff to support integrated patient care.
• Document dietary recommendations and patient progress in EMR systems.
• Adjust nutrition plans based on patient outcomes and evolving needs.

Essential Skills

• Strong knowledge of pediatric nutrition and dietary planning.
• Effective communication skills with children, families, and healthcare teams.
• Proficiency in EMR systems and basic computer applications.
• Ability to interpret lab results and medical histories for nutrition planning.

Additional Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field (Registered Dietitian preferred).
• Pediatric nutrition experience or certification strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with Epic or Advanced MD EMR systems is a plus.
• Experience in outpatient or urgent care settings is beneficial.

Work Environment

This position offers a flexible schedule of 36–40 hours per week, including weekday shifts and alternating weekends. Weekend hours are typically 8 AM to 4 PM, with potential for 12-hour weekday shifts. The clinical setting is fast-paced and requires a positive attitude, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills. Initial training includes EMR onboarding and orientation to clinical workflows.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $44.00/hr.
