Job Description

We are seeking a talented Designer to create shop drawings for custom commercial kitchen equipment. The role involves creating detailed floor plans, elevations, and other specifications using solid modeling techniques. Experience in sheet metal design is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed shop drawings for custom commercial kitchen equipment, including floor plans and elevations.
• Design custom stainless steel equipment that meets specific customer and industry requirements.
• Manage large assemblies comprising sheet metal, parts, sub-assemblies, hardware, and imported files.
• Enhance modeling skills and provide software training and improvement strategies to fellow Design Engineers.
• Draft complex parts and assemblies with mechanical design and integration skills.
• Manage large CAD assemblies and associated drawings.
• Utilize a PDM Product Management Database effectively.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics per project specifications.
• Perform solid 3D-modeling using Siemens SolidEdge for sheet metal.
• Design CAD models according to customer specifications and order sheets.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to deliver drafts for customer review.
• Work on multiple projects concurrently, prioritizing deadlines effectively.
• Assist in product procurement, DXF drawings for laser cutters and bends, and draft electrical drawings.
• Troubleshoot and adapt model files from the CAD library to meet customer specifications.
• Apply knowledge of GD&T for manufacturing sheet metal.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and SolidEdge.
• Experience with sheet metal design and CAD.
• Ability to interpret and manipulate existing drawings.
• Understanding of GD&T for manufacturing sheet metal.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in the food service industry is preferable.
• Ability to read specifications and design custom stainless steel equipment.

Work Environment

The position involves working with advanced technologies such as Siemens SolidEdge for solid 3D modeling. The Designer will handle multiple projects simultaneously, collaborating with Project Managers to ensure timely delivery of drafts. Familiarity with a PDM Product Management Database is essential. The role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics accurately.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oviedo, FL.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Oviedo,FL.
