Job Description
The primary function of a Communications Specialist is to support corporate communications through message development, writing, and editing. This role involves crafting engaging content across various platforms to align with corporate messaging, ensuring the timely and accurate dissemination of news and multimedia content.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the timely, creative, and accurate dissemination of news, multimedia content, and information.
- Create a variety of content for platforms, ensuring quality, accuracy, and effective storytelling that aligns with corporate messaging.
- Track team recognition and ensure robust forms of acknowledging employee achievements.
- Collaborate closely with the corporate supply chain team to write and finalize monthly and annual newsletters.
- Develop and execute weekly communication plans, including team engagement and executive-level internal and external communication pages.
Essential Skills
- Communication plan development.
- Experience working in a global team, handling diverse time zones and audiences.
- Technical proficiency with tools such as SharePoint, Teams, and Viva Engage, and experience with AI for automating or standardizing communication processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Verbal and written communication skills, negotiation skills, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time.
- Basic knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services.
- Basic knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or equivalent training preferred.
- 2-4 years of related experience required.
Work Environment
This position is fully remote, with a preference for candidates from Redmond, although it is not a requirement. Core working hours are in the CST time zone. The assignment is set for a duration of six months, from November 4, 2025, to June 30, 2026. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, totaling 40 hours per week. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
