Job Description
As a CNC Programmer, you will utilize Esprit's digital twin technology to simulate machining operations. You will verify toolpaths for accuracy, avoid collisions, and ensure programs work correctly on physical machines before production begins. You will determine the best cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and other machining parameters for different materials and operations. Additionally, you will create setup sheets, tool lists, and troubleshoot any programming or machining problems that arise during production. Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, CAD models, and specifications to understand the required part features is also part of your role.
Responsibilities
- Use Esprit's digital twin technology to simulate machining operations.
- Verify toolpaths for accuracy and collision avoidance.
- Ensure programs work correctly on physical machines before production starts.
- Determine the best cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for different materials and operations.
- Create setup sheets and tool lists.
- Troubleshoot any programming or machining problems during production.
- Read and interpret engineering blueprints, CAD models, and specifications.
- Proficiency in CNC programming.
- Experience with Esprit software.
- Ability to use digital twin technology for collision avoidance.
- Programming experience for Okuma B300 turn-mill machines and milling machines.
- Strong documentation skills for programming procedures.
You will work alongside another CNC programmer, making a total of four team members at the Lincoln Campus. The position requires collaboration and communication with team members to ensure smooth operations.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Fort Collins, Colorado.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $75.00/hr.
