Clinical Laboratory Scientist

Perform pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phase testing of all complexities as defined by CLIA. This includes specialized tests and analysis in areas such as Hematology, Microbiology, Clinical Chemistry, Urinalysis, Immunohematology, Serology, Parasitology, and chemical and morphological examinations to obtain data for use in diagnosis and recording laboratory test results.

• Perform and report test results for all clinical laboratory procedures as assigned, both automated and manual, without immediate review by the director, consultant, or supervisory team.
• Demonstrate proficiency, competency, and understanding of fundamental principles of clinical laboratory procedures with minimal supervision.
• Monitor and be accountable for test data, quality control, quality assurance, preventive maintenance, proficiency testing, and all operations related to laboratory testing procedures.
• Notify the supervisory team of any irregularities or factors that may influence test results.
• Troubleshoot equipment and test methods as needed.
• Monitor supplies and reagents and notify appropriate parties of par levels.
• Perform clerical or other duties of support staff/laboratory assistants as assigned, such as performing phlebotomy on inpatients and outpatients.

• Proficiency in phlebotomy and specimen processing.
• Experience with both automated and manual testing.
• Possession of a Clinical Laboratory Scientist License (California).

• Ideally hold a Generalist License.
• High School Education or General Education Development (GED) is required.

This position requires availability for 12-hour shifts, including weekends, as it is an on-call position created due to higher volume and the need for more coverage. Candidates must be available for potential dates from 2/1-2/7, 2/8-2/14, and 2/15-2/21, with a primary focus on Week 1. Professional attire or scrubs are required, and hours will vary across all shifts.

This is a Contract position based out of Anaheim, CA.

The pay range for this position is $150.00 - $150.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Anaheim,CA.
