Job Title: Civil Designer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Civil Designer proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D software to join our dynamic team. This role involves designing subsurface elements for residential developments, commercial site developments, street improvements, utility infrastructure, pump and tank design, municipal utility master-planning, and cost estimating. You will partner with project managers to bring designs from conception to completion and make necessary modifications based on redlined designs.

Responsibilities

• Design subsurface elements using AutoCAD Civil 3D software
• Develop designs for residential developments, commercial site developments, and street improvements
• Create utility infrastructure designs, including pump and tank systems
• Participate in municipal utility master-planning and cost estimating
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure designs meet project requirements
• Modify designs based on redlined feedback from project teams
• Interact and communicate effectively with clients

Essential Skills

• 4-7 years of experience in a consulting engineering firm or design-build company
• Expert level proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Strong client interaction and communication skills
• Expert in schematic design
• Experience with redlining designs
• License preferred (EIT/PE)

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in grading plans, utility plans, and site design
• Knowledge of municipal engineering and land development
• Experience in drainage and site development
• Ability to handle both commercial and residential projects

Work Environment

You will work in a large office space located in North Fresno, alongside a team of 6 engineers, 2 project managers, and 3 interns. The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8am to 5pm. Our company values work-life balance, offering flexibility if needed. We do not require overtime, but it is available if desired. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $70.00/hr.
