Job Title: Senior Design Engineer - Civil Engineering PE
Job Description
Join our dynamic Civil Site Team or Transportation Services as a Senior Design Engineer based in Indianapolis. This role focuses on creating engineering solutions that enhance everyday life, from the roads we travel to the water we consume. As part of a certified MBE/DBE engineering firm, you will work on diverse projects, including civil site design and community infrastructure, ensuring high-quality and impactful engineering outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct site feasibility studies and environmental analysis.
- Develop schematic designs and coordinate engineering systems.
- Perform site cost analysis and design development.
- Prepare comprehensive site construction documents.
- Research specifications and materials, and conduct document checking and coordination.
- Engage in field documentation and analysis of existing sites.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in site/civil design, covering hydraulic modeling, authoritative codes and regulations, subsurface utilities design, site grading, storm sewer systems, and land disturbance permitting.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Indiana.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, stormwater, hydraulics, and drainage systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Possession of a PE License in KY or GA is advantageous.
- Experience with land development and civil 3D is beneficial.
- EIT certification is a plus.
