Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in preparing accurate cost estimates for various types of construction projects. You will play a crucial role in analyzing project requirements, preparing detailed cost estimates, and ensuring that all bids are competitive and comprehensive.

Key Responsibilities:

- Project Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates for site/civil construction projects including residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure development. This involves analyzing project plans, specifications, and requirements to determine the scope of work and necessary resources.

- Pricing and Cost Analysis: Develop and maintain pricing databases and cost models to ensure accurate and competitive pricing. Review and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes to incorporate into overall project estimates.

- Bidding: Prepare and submit competitive bids for construction projects. Ensure that all bids are comprehensive and align with project specifications and client requirements.

- Change Orders: Manage change orders and ensure accurate pricing adjustments. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to address changes in project scope and budget.

- Software Utilization: Utilize HCSS software for estimating and project management. Ensure that all estimates are accurately entered and maintained within the software.

- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely estimates. Participate in project meetings and provide input on cost-related matters.

- Cost Monitoring: Monitor and report on project costs and budgets. Provide regular updates to management on cost performance and potential issues.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Estimator in the site/civil construction industry.

- Proficiency in HCSS software.

- Strong knowledge of change orders, pricing, and bidding processes.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Poughkeepsie, NY.

The pay range for this position is $88.00 - $90.00/hr.
