Job Title: CAD Technician II

Under limited supervision, this position performs technical tasks to produce complex drawings through the efficient use of CAD technology. The role requires a sound understanding of specifications and their application in engineering drawings. Additionally, this position provides direction, support, and training to other employees, follows established work processes, and develops improvements with management oversight.

Responsibilities

• Produce complex drawings using CAD technology.
• Demonstrate knowledge of specifications and apply them in engineering drawings.
• Provide direction and training to other employees.
• Follow and improve established work processes with management oversight.
• Manage and support special projects.
• Perform clerical functions in support of projects.
• Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley and NERC Standard Compliance.
• Meet attendance and storm duty requirements.
• Work extended hours as necessary.

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2 years of experience in CAD/computer hardware and software, imaging, and drafting.
• Experience with Electronic Document Management Systems.
• Understanding of Transmission Substation processes and record retention.
• Experience in project management.
• Expert ability in integrity compliance skills.
• Competent abilities in communication, leadership, process/project management, analysis, problem-solving, and commercial skills.

• Professional certification preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification preferred.
• Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro and other Esri software.

The position requires working with advanced CAD technology and engaging in technical and engineering documentation. The role involves compliance with industry standards, such as Sarbanes-Oxley and NERC. Attendance and storm duty requirements must be met, and extended hours may be necessary. The environment supports skill development and offers opportunities to manage and support special projects.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Juno Beach, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
