Engineering Buyer
Location:
Walbridge, OH
Pay Rate:
$24.00 – $30.00/hour (higher depending on experience)

Position Summary:
Support maintenance and engineering teams by coordinating procurement activities and scheduling maintenance tasks. This hybrid role blends purchasing, admin support, and maintenance coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
🛒 Procurement & Purchasing
- Source and purchase parts, equipment, and services for maintenance and engineering.
- Negotiate pricing and delivery terms with vendors.
- Track/manage purchase orders, vendor performance, and delivery timelines.
- Collaborate with management for budget approvals and purchasing decisions.
🛠️ Maintenance Coordination
- Schedule and coordinate planned/unplanned maintenance.
- Work with technicians to identify parts/systems needing attention.
- Prioritize urgent maintenance requests and adjust schedules.
- Monitor daily maintenance progress and ensure timely completion.
🗂️ Administrative Support
- Maintain records of maintenance schedules, POs, and vendor communications.
- Provide updates/resources to maintenance staff.
- Communicate across departments to align priorities and timelines.
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma
- Experience: Background in pricing, sales, or negotiations (required)
- Experience in purchasing or maintenance coordination is a plus

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
