What are the responsibilities and job description for the Buyer Planner position at Actalent?
Description
• Support the assembly team with part availability status. Possess an unwavering mindset where your view the assemblers as your customers.
• Check, monitor and manage component availability for assembly production.
• Work with suppliers to determine delivery dates as necessary (both domestic and International) with an emphasis to expedite orders as required.
• Manage the inventory in the MRP system, including working with the Shipping/Receiving department as necessary.
• Support the Plant Manager in the scouting process of new suppliers to build up the domestic supply chain as required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Previous experience in a Buyer/Planner role, with knowledge of Bill of Material processing a plus.
• Experience with MRP systems especially with Purchasing and Warehousing modules.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Advanced computer skills and experience.
• Strong Verbal and Written communication as required for expediting and order purchasing
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
