A privately held US-based company is seeking a skilled Buyer to join its team. As a Buyer, you will manage the end-to-end procurement process, optimize inventory levels for resale, and establish strategic supplier relationships. Your role involves analyzing market trends for metals such as copper and aluminum to negotiate competitive pricing, ensuring high product availability for customers while effectively controlling costs.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process.
- Optimize inventory levels for resale.
- Establish and maintain strategic supplier relationships.
- Analyze market trends for metals, including copper and aluminum.
- Negotiate competitive pricing with suppliers.
- Ensure high product availability for customers.
- Control costs while maintaining quality and availability.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience in procurement, purchase order management, and supply chain.
- Expertise in buying and international supply chain management.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, specifically SAP.
- Strong negotiation skills and purchasing experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in international buying and supply chain management.
- 4 years of experience in managing end-to-end supply chains.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to take initiative.
Work Environment
This is a remote position with standard working hours from 8 AM to 4 PM, with occasional flexibility based on international affairs. The company offers a flexible remote workspace, encouraging leadership and project ownership within a dynamic and driven team
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
